A talented translator passes away:

Demetrios Emmanuel Kepas passed away Monday January 11, 2016. He left behind his wife, Joyce, six children, 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Demetrios was born in Volos, Greece in 1929. He moved to the United States and lived in Salt Lake City, UT., Baltimore, New York, Kansas. He settled in Provo, UT 25 years ago where he worked for at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center as a Pathologist. Demetrios contributed many hours of volunteer work, including assisting translation of the LDS Scriptures into Greek. He also translated and interpreted many films and conference talks into Greek. His service and dedication will be sorely missed.

 

 

 

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm, January 16, 2016, at the Edgemont 7th Ward chapel in Provo, Utah (555 E. 3230 N). Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm prior to the service. Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 N. 800 E.
